Idaho H&V Board of Directors is comprised of up to 15 members who serve a two year term. At least 50% of the Board of Directors are parents of children with hearing loss. The entire Board of Directors consists of:

• Parent members
• Professional members 
• Community members/adults who are deaf and hard of hearing 

2012 Executive Board of Directors

President: Shannon Garlitz
Shannon is the mother of three children with hearing loss. She was first introduced to pediatric hearing loss in 2006 when her daughter was diagnosed profoundly deaf at the age of two. All three of her children passed newborn screens and progressively lost their hearing. They use spoken language, Cued Speech and sign language to communicate.

Pediatric Audiologist: Karrie Pargman, Au.D., F-AAA
Karrie received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Utah and Bachleor of Science degree in Economics from the university of Vermont. Karrie has been working as a pediatric audiologist at The Elks Hearing & Balance Center since May 2007.
